We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to support additional capacity on a major electricity transmission infrastructure project. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality requirements.
This role operates within high-voltage substation environments and requires strong leadership, extensive National Grid experience, and excellent knowledge of safety, quality, and construction management processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage day-to-day site operations, including site operatives and subcontractors
2. Plan, develop, and implement safety documentation, including:
* Construction Phase Plans
* Site Quality Plans
* Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
3. Prepare daily Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and allocate works accordingly
4. Produce and maintain Site Specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements
5. Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
6. Undertake regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
7. Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery of works
