Salary: £45,000 + benefits
The Role – Asphalt Manager:
* Asphalt Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of asphalt testing and quality assurance, ensuring all testing meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
* You’ll be responsible for supervising site testing, coordinating team activities, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, and acting as a key point of contact for clients.
* Effective resource management and the consistent delivery of high-quality asphalt testing services are critical to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily asphalt testing and quality assurance activities.
* Supervise asphalt site testing and related laboratory work.
* Coordinate team workloads and project delivery.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Liaise with clients and provide technical support and updates.
* Manage resources to maintain high-quality service delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
* Extensive knowledge of asphalt site testing, bituminous laboratory testing, and pavement investigations.
* Excellent understanding of asphalt and asphalt testing methodologies.
* Strong leadership, project management, and team coordination skills.
* Familiarity with H&S and environmental compliance within construction and civil engineering.
* Excellent communication skills for client liaison and report writing.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in materials testing or civil engineering (preferred).
* Previous experience in a similar role within materials testing or civil engineering.
