£450-£500 Weekly Pay (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)
New Directions are currently recruiting for Salford Based Primary School who require an experienced Teaching Assistant to support in their Year 2 classroom. The role will involve whole class support as well as leading small group SEND interventions including sensory circuits.

1. Community primary school for ages 3–11: A mixed‑gender, local authority maintained primary school on Summerville Road, offering nursery through Year 6 education

3. Good Ofsted rating and diverse pupil body: Inspected as “Good” in its latest Ofsted report, the school serves around 199 pupils and reflects cultural and linguistic diversity
The Role:
4. Support teaching and learning: Assist the Year 2 teacher by working with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce lessons, help with reading, writing, maths, and other classroom activities.
5. Classroom management and pastoral care: Help maintain a positive learning environment, support children’s behavior, and provide emotional or social support when needed.
6. Administrative and organizational tasks: Prepare learning materials, set up activities, supervise children during breaks or activities, and help monitor progress or record observations for the teacher.
The Candidate:
7. Holding a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
8. Experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred; however, we also welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in care, support work, sports coaching, or psychology.
