About The Job
We’re seeking an experienced Brand Experience & Creative Lead with outstanding visual and graphic design skills to shape and elevate the Autotrader brand. You’ll lead our Brand Experience Team and work closely with our Creative Lead (Copy) to deliver a compelling, coherent brand presence across every touchpoint. Your remit is to maintain and evolve the brand experience by leading a talented team of designers and owning our brand systems – the Autotrader brand toolkit and its integration into our digital products. You’ll collaborate with Product, Marketing, People & Culture teams to develop and execute creative concepts that resonate with diverse audiences, from annual conferences to trade communications and large‑scale consumer campaigns.
What We're Looking For
* Broad visual design experience spanning brand advertising, events, and internal communications, comfortable working across graphics, video, illustration, and animation.
* Experience delivering brand experience at scale, using brand principles, guidelines and design systems, and proficiency with Figma, Adobe CS, etc.
* Exceptional communication skills, able to inspire the organisation with your vision for the Autotrader brand and bring it to life with compelling stories and creative.
* Strong collaboration skills, forming relationships with peers and stakeholders across the business to translate strategy into creative brand experiences.
* Ability to lead and direct external agencies alongside internal teams.
* Proven leadership: inspire teams with a clear vision, set up operational structure for throughput and quality. Demonstrated recruiting and building high‑performing creative teams.
* Accountability for creative output quality; willing to raise and improve sub‑standard work.
* Curiosity about new technologies, including AI, and open‑minded about its future impact on creative disciplines.
Benefits
Salary £75,000 – £90,000 plus 10% salary awarded in shares yearly. Shares vest over three years. 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, half‑day closures on Christmas and New Year's Eve.
