Farringdon, London hybrid working We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Controls Specialist to join ourBuilding Safety Directorateand support the delivery of a large-scale external wall remediation programme. Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, this role is central to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As the engine room of project performance, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust project control frameworks. This includes detailed scheduling, cost tracking, performance measurement, and reporting. You will work closely with internal project managers, external consultants, contractors, and cost consultants to ensure all aspects of project control are aligned and integrated. Your responsibilities will include preparing project dashboards and reports, identifying critical paths and risks, and recommending mitigation strategies. You will support change control processes, maintain comprehensive documentation for audit purposes, and ensure compliance with programme standards and contractual obligations. What you'll need: Proven experience in construction project controls, including earned value management, within residential or building safety programmes Advanced data analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills, with strong Microsoft 365suite expertise Excellent negotiation, influencing, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities Solid understanding of risk management and change control processes Degree level or qualification in a relevant field plus PRINCE2, APM, or PMI practitioner accreditation (professional membership desirable) Solution-focused mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem solving In your supporting statement, it is important that you address how you meet each of the above six criteria providing real examples.
