Role: Mechanical Estimator Location: Wolverhampton, UK Job type: Full time / Permanent Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 We're working with a leading M&E contractor that’s been successfully delivering large-scale projects across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe for over 40 years. With a strong reputation for quality and delivery, they’re looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the addition of an experienced Mechanical Estimator. What you’ll be doing Preparing accurate mechanical estimates in line with client tender summaries Reviewing tender documents to identify any discrepancies or queries Preparing and tracking RFIs and ensuring documentation is maintained correctly Submitting tenders and updating internal platforms with full costing breakdowns Producing detailed assumption lists, clarifications, and value engineering options Attending tender handover meetings when projects are awarded Collaborating with the wider estimating and pre-construction team to meet tight deadlines Staying up to date with industry best practice and commercial standards in both the UK and Ireland What we’re looking for Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services or M&E sector Experience working across UK and Irish T&Cs and compliance standards Strong commercial acumen and understanding of mechanical systems across industrial, commercial, and mission-critical sectors Sharp attention to detail and the ability to spot spec vs drawing discrepancies Proficiency with estimating software and digital documentation platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Excel) A team player who can also work independently using their own initiative Nice to have Exposure to European project delivery and cross-border coordination Willingness to support departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives Why join?
