We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Supervisor to join and lead our fantastic team based at our Sand and Gravel Quarry in Melton Mowbray.

Role Responsibility
The Weighbridge Supervisor will report directly to the Circularity Management team and be responsible for overseeing the landfill operations on our site. Safety and operational standards are the fundamentals of the role of Weighbridge Supervisor with managing site compliance with business policies and procedures and ensuring that adherence to Landfill legislative compliance is also a strong aspect of the role.
On a day to day basis, the key tasks and Responsibilities of the Weighbridge Supervisor will include: (not exhaustive)
1. Leading and active supervisory of the operational team when required
2. Overseeing the daily demands from our business, customers, and hauliers
3. Operating the landfill weighbridge
4. Manage all aspects of daily operations in a supervisory role when required
5. Driving operational performance through agreed KPI’s
6. Timely resolution of queries assigned to the sector
7. Taking responsibility for own safety and that of colleagues and business partners
8. Maintaining site housekeeping to a high standard
Key Stakeholders you will liaise with in the responsibilities of this role:
9. Site Manager/ Circularity Management - Health & Safety team - Procurement and support teams - Area Operations teams - Industry Bodies - Customers
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate for the position of Weighbridge Supervisor you will have experience and knowledge of:
10. COTC in Inert Waste
11. Previous Landfill and supervisory experience would prove highly beneficial, but training in the necessary skills and requirements can be offered for the right candidate
12. Full knowledge of Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work Systems
13. Working knowledge of H&S and Environmental policies
DESIRABLE Qualifications
14. IOSH Managing Safely
15. NVQ in fixed and mobile plant operations
16. WAMITAB (CIWN)
Skills
17. Able to actively identify and implement site and process improvements
18. Able to effectively communicate
19. Good working knowledge of IT Systems and Software packages
