We are now looking to recruit a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our expanding business on a full-time basis. About the Role:
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy to align with business growth plans and operational needs.
Assess geographical and service stream coverage to identify areas requiring additional subcontractor or supplier resources.
Forecast future supply chain requirements based on operational trends, seasonal demand, and strategic objectives.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring robust contingency plans are in place.
Supplier & Subcontractor Management
Identify, assess, and onboard new subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards and operational requirements.
Negotiate favourable commercial and financial terms with new and existing subcontractors, agencies, and suppliers.
Maintain strong supplier relationships through regular performance reviews with clear KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs).
Manage the Codes of Conduct for all supply chain partners, ensuring compliance with the latest versions.
Operational Supply Chain Execution
Work in partnership with the National Planner to source, allocate, and manage agency resources, ensuring suitable training and certification.
Monitor subcontractor, agency, and supplier compliance, performance, and service delivery using Job Watch and other relevant systems.
Review and track weekly agency hours, approve timesheets, and liaise with Finance on purchase orders and invoicing requirements.
Investigate, manage, and close out complaints or performance issues relating to subcontractors, agencies, or suppliers.
Specialist Supply Chain Areas
Benchmark, onboard, and review chemical and hire equipment supply chains to ensure optimal value, quality, and safety.
Oversee the onboarding and performance management of agencies, ensuring commercial competitiveness and operational readiness.
Compliance, Health & Safety, and Sustainability
Ensure that all subcontractors, agencies, and suppliers adhere to the company's Health & Safety Management System.
Drive continuous improvement in compliance, sustainability, and ethical sourcing practices across the supply chain.
Ensure environmental, regulatory, and industry standards are met by all supply chain partners.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives across the supply chain.
Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to future-proof supply chain operations.
Lead projects to improve visibility, efficiency, and resilience within the supply chain.
About You:
· Excellent written and verbal communication in English
· Previous training/qualifications in Facilities Management
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in supply chain roles in sectors such as FM
· Demonstrate good IT skills (Microsoft Office and ideally CAFM or similar facilities maintenance packages) including use of databases and a willingness to develop these skills further
· Previous experience in following a logical and structured process for problem solving
· Ability to identify and digest information to be able to make speedy, informed and decisive decisions
· Ability to establish and maintain good client and supplier relationships, both internally and externally
· Understands and is agreeable to work different hours/shifts to include nights/weekends.
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
· Highly customer focussed and always looking to deliver a high quality of service for clients
· Flexible and able to react quickly to the needs of the customer & SafeGroup
· Ability to deliver quality results under pressure and prioritise work
· Competence in Microsoft Office products especially Outlook, Word and Excel
· Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a demanding workload
· Ability to hold employee and client information in the strictest confidence
· Experience in the use of the Big Change Job Watch platform would be desirable
