Whats the role?
Campbell Grove Talent are partnering with a well-established, highly profitable, retail business in York, one of the region's top employers, to find an experienced Finance Manager ready to make a real impact.
This isn't your standard management accounts role. The business is in an exciting period of change, with a number of projects underway around process and systems improvement. The SLT actively want you involved in that work - not just observing but genuinely adding value and shaping how things are done.
Alongside the project work, you'll be mentoring junior members of the finance team, supporting them through their studies and helping set the standard for what great looks like. Day-to-day, you'll own the monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and VAT returns.
What we're looking for:
You'll be someone who can hit the ground running, ideally available to start soon. Beyond that, here's what matters most:
* A solid background in management accounting, with hands-on experience in process improvement
* Strong Excel skills -you're comfortable working with complex data
* Experience navigating a large, complex organisation
