Manager – Nominated Officer Team (Economic Crime Prevention)

Join Lloyds Banking Group to lead high‑profile investigations, make disclosure decisions to the NCA, and be a risk subject matter expert supporting first and second line colleagues.


Job Description Summary

* Title: Manager – Nominated Officer Team (Economic Crime Prevention)
* Salary: £65,385 – £79,915
* Location: Edinburgh, Birmingham
* Hours: Full‑time, hybrid working (at least two days per week in office)


Day to Day

* Own complex SAR investigations end‑to‑end: gather facts, assess risk, decide on disclosure, and document decisions clearly.
* Strengthen controls: provide expert oversight of operational areas, spot gaps, identify issues and drive forward fixes.
* Deliver intelligence‑led risk management: use data to prioritise work and reduce harm to customers and communities.
* Liaise confidently with external agencies (NCA, FCA, HMRC, DWP, police) and partners across the Group.
* Innovate and change at pace: identify what can be done better, done faster and make sure projects land and the bank’s legal obligations are met.
* Coach and develop investigators: lift capability, set standards, and create succession for key roles.
* Represent the team: deputise for the Senior Manager at forums and decision meetings.


What You’ll Need

* Strong knowledge and recent practical application of POCA, TACT and ML Regulations.
* Excellent investigation skills and operational judgement.
* Problem solving using critical thinking.
* Strong stakeholder management.
* Leadership and high performance team management.
* Innovate at Pace: simplify processes, remove bureaucracy.
* Wider understanding of the UK’s Economic Crime Ecosystem.
