We are seeking a dedicated Family Worker to join a busy Family Centre team in the North Wales region.
This role focuses on providing early help, guidance, and practical support to parents, carers, children, and young people. Working within a multi agency environment, you will help families access the right services at the right time, promoting positive outcomes and ensuring children have the best possible start in life.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one to one and group based support to parents and families, offering advice, guidance, and practical help.
Work collaboratively across public services, local authority teams, and third sector partners to deliver a holistic, multi?agency programme of support.
Promote the Family Centre as a single point of access for families seeking early help and community based support.
Engage proactively with the local community to strengthen awareness and uptake of preventative services.
Support families with young children and teenagers to improve wellbeing, resilience, and overall quality of life.
Contribute to the coordination and delivery of preventative services for families who do not require specialist intervention.
Work flexibly to meet service needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.Key Requirements
Good standard of general education (minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent).
Strong digital and administrative skills, with confidence using technology and software systems.
Level 3 professional qualification relevant to family support (e.g., Working with Parents or equivalent).
Experience working with children, young people, and families within a support, education, or community setting.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice in family support.
Sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection procedures, and thresholds for intervention.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to build trust and engage families effectively.
Contract Type: Temporary: 3-6 months (with view of potential extension).
Pay Rate: £14.82 per hour
Working pattern - 37 hours per week, onsite
