Offer description

Job summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a period of 10 months to cover maternity leave from January 2026. This is a 0.2-0.26WTE post for a principal clinical psychologist to contribute to the ongoing development of the Mental Health and Intensive Support Team (MHIST).

Our service is multidisciplinary with nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, healthy lifestyle coaches, senior support workers, peer support workers and along with the post advertised, a small psychological provision. The service aims to provide an intensive community rehabilitation-based service for people with complex difficulties to enable them to define, build and live meaningful, independent lives away from long term, complex rehabilitation hospital settings.

This could be a perfect opportunity for a secondment development opportunity within a current role if you are an internal applicant; or may be something to top up your hours if you are currently part time in or outside of the trust.

Main duties of the job

To advise, supervise and support the assessment and treatment provided by clinical members of the teams who provide psychologically based care and treatment within the service.
