Electrician / Instrumentation Engineer – Industrial Processing (Permanent, Days) We are working with a global leader in mineral-based industrial processing, supporting them in appointing an Electrician / Instrumentation Engineer for their site near Plymouth. This is a permanent, day-shift position with long-term development opportunities in controls and automation. About the Role: You will be part of a small, close-knit team of five engineers responsible for maintaining and improving the electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across a kaolin calcination plant. The site operates a range of heavy processing equipment including combustion systems, PLCs, drives, and instrumentation equipment. The role is varied, involving both planned and reactive maintenance, and plays a vital part in supporting plant uptime and identifying areas for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Perform electrical maintenance on industrial plant equipment. Support and troubleshoot instrumentation and automation systems. Assist in both reactive repairs and planned maintenance tasks. Contribute to equipment upgrades and improvements across the site. Maintain a high standard of safety and reliability. What We're Looking For: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. Industrial maintenance experience in a processing, manufacturing, or engineering environment. Full UK driving licence (site is not accessible via public transport). Experience with instrumentation, PLCs, or automation systems is advantageous. What's On Offer: Salary: Up to £37,407 per annum.
