We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and team-oriented individual to appoint into the post of Social Work Support Officer within the kinship support service. This is a team established in October 2022, supporting children and families living within kinship arrangements.

Salary
* £26,824 - £29,540 per annum (pro rata)

Role purpose
This role provides essential administrative support to social workers, family workers and welfare rights officers within a Children’s Social Care setting. You will be the first point of contact for families, local authority professionals and partner agencies, and will manage difficult conversations tactfully, respectfully and effectively over the telephone and, occasionally, in person.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to a social care team, with duties including minute taking and maintaining records
* Record information accurately onto the internal Mosaic database
* Support colleagues with Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, databases) and ideally SharePoint
* Coordinate and manage communications with families and partner agencies
* Assist with diary management, scheduling, and meeting coordination
* Contribute to a positive team environment and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues and families
Essential and desirable qualifications
* Experience as an administrator with strong administrative skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint knowledge preferred, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Excellent listening, recording and typing skills
* Highly organised with strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to build interpersonal relationships with colleagues, families and partner agencies
* Driving licence advantageous but not essential; taxi service available if disability precludes travel
* Experience in minute taking is advantageous
