The Tavern is a traditional end terraced community pub on the busy Church street going through Great Harwood. The pub is open plan but a single central bar serves 4 zones within the pub. There is a beer garden to the rear. The pub serves locals of all ages who visit the pub to meet friends, team sports, live sports and weekend entertainment such as DJ/Karaoke etc.
The pub would benefit from greater consistency in opening times and a regular "landlord" who engages with customers on a day to day basis. Re-introduction of cask would help build day trade and there is potential for the introduction of a small food offer from the pub kitchen. Additionally a well planned and marketed Rhythm of the Week and Events programme would also ensure growth.
The Tavern is taking approx. £6,000 per week at present 100% wet only.
This opportunity would ideally suit someone with local knowledge to help drive individuals and groups to the pub and embed the pub into the local community. A passions for standards and driving sales is essential as well as being able to promote the business effectively via social media.
