Security Officer Role
As a Security Officer, you will be a key member of the hospital team, ensuring the safety of staff and visitors and maintaining building security. Responsibilities include lockdown procedures, attending security incidents, and taking appropriate measures to protect staff and patients.

Our priority is the safety of patients, staff, and visitors, providing reassurance and professionalism in challenging situations. We offer advice, support, and training on security matters, aiming to de-escalate situations and liaise with emergency services during major incidents.
You will join an experienced team working across Basingstoke, Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital, on a shift pattern of 12-hour shifts covering days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays in a 4 on 4 off rotation.
Main Duties
* Serve as a point of contact for security advice and promote a security-conscious culture within the organization.
* Attend security incidents and implement protective measures as needed.
* Complete incident reports and coordinate with police and courts.
* Report crimes to law enforcement.
* Manage parking issues and issue warning notices when necessary.
* Support portering services during night shifts.
