Responsibilities:
Your main task will be to complete Patent translations into French. Typically, this may include:
* Revising, reviewing, post-editing and/or proofreading translations into French, ensuring clarity, consistency and accuracy
* Developing French style guides and terminology databases
* Providing feedback
* Training other linguists
* Exploring new technology, assessing, reporting
* Ad-hoc projects as instructed by the Head of the Department
Person Specification:
You will:
* be of French mother-tongue
* hold a relevant University degree or translation qualification
You should also have the following skills:
* experience in translation/checking
* computer literacy, good working knowledge of MS Office tools
* keen interest in technology, and the ability to test and report on findings
* ability to share and transmit new learning
* ability to work with deadlines
And advantageously:
* fluency in a third language
* knowledge of CAT tools, in particular MemoQ
* SDL and/or TAUS certificate in
* post-edition
* MTPE experience
