The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Shared Services / Finance Transformation Manager who knows how to take a finance operation from “functional” to “fantastic.” Someone who can diagnose, design and deliver change - and bring people with them. This role is to join a rapidly growing business and there is no doubt, there will be ongoing projects for someone who likes problem solving and driving efficiencies.
What you’ll be driving
* End-to-end leadership of Shared Service operations across AP, AR, Treasury, and General Accounting.
* A full transformation agenda: process redesign, automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement; for e.g. experience in implementing a PO process in AP and untangling transactional finance to drive efficiencies.
* Implementation or optimisation of ERP / finance systems
* Embedding and monitoring SLA/KPI frameworks that mean something
* Building team capability: coaching, upskilling, and shaping a high-performance culture.
* Business partnering with Finance, HR, IT and Ops leaders to ensure scalable processes that support growth.
* Owning governance, compliance, internal controls and month-end performance metrics.
* Elevating efficiency, accuracy and customer service across the finance ecosystem.
What you bring
* Strong background running Shared Service Centres or multi-disciplinary finance operations.
* Proven success delivering finance transformation - systems, processes, people.
* A track record of turning manual, inconsistent processes into automated, integrated ones.
* A leadership style that balances structure with empathy - firm when needed, supportive by default.
* Stakeholder gravitas: you can challenge, influence, negotiate and reset expectations with ease.
* Experience leading in complex, multi-site, or high-growth environments.
* A mindset that loves continuous improvement (and isn’t afraid to rip up what “we’ve always done”).
