Job Title: Vehicle Preparation Technician
Location: Consett, County Durham, DH8
Salary: £35,000 basic + bonus (OTE £39,000)
Monday to Friday | No weekends
An established independent used car dealership in Consett is looking for a Vehicle Preparation Technician to join their friendly and professional team. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician looking for excellent work–life balance and strong earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
· Preparing used vehicles to a high standard prior to sale
· Carrying out servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance
· Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
· Diagnosing and rectifying minor mechanical and electrical faults
· Ensuring all vehicles meet safety and quality standards
Requirements
· Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification
· Previous workshop or dealership experience preferred
· Strong attention to detail and pride in work
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Full UK driving licence (essential)
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
No weekend work
