Fisher Civils Limited are recruiting an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor for their head office in Southampton.
They have a strong order book with secured future work for residential developments ranging from £500k to £30M.
Key responsibilities
* Managing the commercial aspects of groundworks projects
* Preparing and submitting valuations and cost reports
* Managing variations and change control
* Subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts
* Monitoring project costs and margins
* Working closely with site teams and project managers
* Assisting with tendering and pricing where required
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks
* Strong understanding of groundworks packages including drainage, foundations and external works
* Good knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
* Confident managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
* Commercially aware and detail focused
* Able to work well within a team
Office based in Southampton with site involvement as required.
