Painter and Decorator York | Full-Time | Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced Painter and Decorator looking for a stable role with a professional team?
Pay Rate: £14.25-£15.75 per hour - depending on experience
Hours: Mon-Thu 8:30am to 4:30pm, Fri 8:30am to 3:30pm
Holidays: 29 days per year (20 days + 8 bank holidays + birthday)
Benefits: Company pension, all tools provided
Overtime Rate: Between £19.50-£21.50 ph
We are recruiting on behalf of a York-based company that delivers high-quality decorating services across the local area, with the majority of projects within York and surrounding towns. Very occasionally, work may be up to an 1 hour away.
What You'll Be Doing
3. Preparing surfaces, including sanding, filling, and priming
4. Applying paint, varnish, and wallpaper to a professional finish
5. Using a variety of application techniques (brush, roller, spray)
6. Carrying out interior and exterior decorating work
7. Ensuring all work is completed safely, cleanly, and to a high standard
8. Working independently and as part of a small team
9. Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner with customers and clients
What We're Looking For
10. Minimum 5 years' painting and decorating experience
11. A professional and positive attitude, with strong attention to detail
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
13. Full driving licence preferred, or the ability to travel to sites/pick-up points
14. Willingness to learn and develop new skills
15. Reliability and pride in delivering excellent workmanship
