2 x Teaching Assistant Level 1 – Special School
Pay – Grade 4 £25,583 - £25,989 (full time salary)
The salary for these roles is pro rata the above, and is for 32.5 hrs per week / 39 weeks per annum (plus holiday entitlement) this is calculated at an hourly rate of £13.26 rising to £13.47 after six months

Ysgol Penmaes is a special school for pupils 3-19 in Brecon with 115 pupils.
We are proud of our pupils and expect them to work hard to achieve, and then exceed their expectations. The Governing Body are looking for two highly motivated Teaching Assistants who want to make a difference to the education and learning experiences of our pupils.
We are seeking to appoint two teaching assistants to commence as soon as possible.
The post is for 32.5 hrs per week term time only: Monday - Friday
You will need to be suitably qualified with a minimum of GCSE in English and Maths; you need to be committed to your own professional development and be willing to undertake other appropriate training, preferably leading to NVQ 2.
Current experience of working with children with special educational needs would be an advantage.
Working under the overall supervision of the Class Teacher, the successful candidate will be responsible, on a day-to-day basis, for supporting learners with additional learning needs.
The right candidate will enjoy working in a busy environment. You will be required to use your own initiative to ensure that students can access the curriculum and that they are making good progress in their learning. This is a role that would suit an ambitious individual who has a genuine interest in supporting students to meet their potential.
