ACTIVITIES ORGANISER
We are seeking a compassionate and creative activities organiser to join the team at our friendly, homely residential care home.
You must be living in the Ilfracombe area.
You should have some experience of working with elderly people, including those living with dementia, and be focused on providing the best outcome for every resident. In this role you will be helping our staff to deliver care that is person-centred, taking into account all our residents' individual needs and wishes.
You will be organising tailored activities to suit varying levels of cognitive ability and mobility.
* Structured group activities that are varied, meaningful for residents, fun, and inspire participation - including arts and crafts, gentle exercise, discussion, games, music.
* Reminiscence : using photos, music, and items from the past to aid memory and stimulate conversation.
* Accompanying residents for walks, outings.
* One-to-one support: Providing tailored engagement for residents who cannot, or do not wish to, join group activities.
* Documentation: keeping accurate records, written and on our digital care planning system, to show how activities and social engagement have affected residents' wellbeing.

Pinehurst Care Home in Ilfracombe, North Devon, has been established for over 30 years, providing a true family home for our residents. Our staff are key to creating the warm, friendly and informal atmosphere that makes residents and their families choose our home. We have 21 rooms and care for residents over 65, some living with dementia. Most are permanent residents; occasionally we provide short-term/respite care.
