Contract: Fixed-Term Contract - 12 Months
Hours: Part Time Monday-Friday(25-30hrs per week)
Pay: £ 28,000-£30,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time hours)
We are looking for a motivated and professional Payroll and Accounts Officer to integrate within our friendly accounts team. In this role, you will play a key role within the team to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of our finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
11. Payroll Processing: Assisting with monthly payroll, including bonuses, overtime, and holiday pay.
12. Compliance: Ensure accurate tax deductions, National Insurance, and pension contributions (auto-enrolment).
13. Reporting: Prepare, reconcile, and submit RTI (Real Time Information) to HMRC and handle year-end procedures (P60, P11D).
14. Accounts Support: Assist with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.
15. Administration: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records.
16. Query Resolution: Resolve staff queries regarding pay, deductions, and tax.
17. Scanning, filing and maintaining financial and administrative documents in an organised and accessible manner.
18. Entering data into internal systems and spreadsheets.
19. Support the team with the implementation and development of new systems or processes.
20. Retrieving and compiling financial data and reports as needed to support effective decision-making and ensure accurate record keeping.
21. Any other reasonable administrative tasks to support the team and keep archiving and filing up to date.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Personal Qualities:
22. Proven experience in payroll and accounts administrative roles.
23. Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax laws, and HMRC regulations.
24. Proficiency in accounting software (, Sage,) and MS Excel.
25. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software / applications
26. Good communication skills, both written and verbal
27. Previous experience of working in a busy office environment
28. Good organisational and time-management skills
29. Must have an awareness of confidentiality
30. Reliable and trustworthy and able to handle sensitive financial information
31. Must be a team player and able to work effectively with colleagues and other departments
32. Payroll and accounts qualifications desirable, or relevant experience.
