We are searching for an Assistant Manager to work within our Supported Living Services in Leamington Spa.
This is a fixed term 6 months opportunity
We welcome applications from candidates who have current team leading experience supporting vulnerable individuals within mental health, learning disabilities, Autism and challenging behavior.
Job Purpose: To provide an effective and inspiring an important part of the management team for the service or services.
Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day support of the service
* To assist the manager to organise and coordinate the running of the service/services Contribute to the drawing up, monitoring and reviewing of all Service policy and practice guidelines
* To support the manager in the following
* Ensure the quality of care provided is the best practice
* To support and prepare for visits and inspections by Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission
* Ensure any recommendations are acted upon
* Maintain records as required to show they meet the standards for compliance with the regulations in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008
* Ensure the development of a care plan for each service user using a 'person centred' planning system
* Health and Safety with the support of the manager to
* Monitor and review all health and safety policy and practice guidelines for the Service
* Undertake an analysis of the health and safety risks within the Service, ensure action is taken to minimise the risks
* Ensure the Service complies with all health and safety requirements
* Provide first aid services at the Service when necessary
* Notify the Health and Safety Executive of any incident occurring which is reportable under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) 1985
* Ensure the individuals supported receive the best possible service
* Promote and enable the involvement of service users in all aspects of the service
* Ensure the service users support needs are regularly assessed, recorded and understood by all staff
* Facilitate regular meetings of the people we support and their advocates to gather their views
* Ensure service users have the opportunity to develop daily life skills which could help them become more independent
* Ensure the safe storage and administration of all medicines, including keeping records
* Assist Support Workers to identify relevant community resources and negotiate access to them
* Liaise with outside agencies to represent the needs of the service users
