The Role: The successful Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a pipeline of new business opportunities worth millions of pounds with national multisite organisations within the public and private sectors such as education, hospitals, hotel chains, and retail in order to deliver profitable revenue growth. You will manage your daily activities, plan journeys, proactively set up business meetings, and drive sales by offering high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively seek new business on a national basis to meet set targets
* Achieve and exceed quarterly / annual new business targets
* Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activity onto the CRM
* Produce and present weekly, monthly, quarterly personal performance reports
* Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders such as the Depot Manager and Operations team to implement sales initiatives within the region
* Be the primary interface for target customers
* Present to board level
* Collaborate with tenders and bids team for tender submissions
* Responsible for sales prospecting and pricing negotiations

Candidate Criteria:
* Experience in corporate sales of high-value, complex services
* Preferably background in waste or facilities management
* Experience selling at head office level to decision-makers
* Sold deals valued at £500,000 to over £1 million
* Experience with consultative sales, bids, and tenders
* Track record of new business sales
