The Opportunity You’ll work closely with a team of advisers across both private and corporate clients, providing high-quality analysis, research and report writing. This role is all about doing paraplanning properly—detailed analytical work, excellent standards, and being an integral support function within a busy and growing advice team. You won’t be expected to give advice, but you will be central to planning suitable client solutions and ensuring the advice process runs smoothly from end to end. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting advisers with all aspects of private and corporate client work Producing high-quality suitability reports, letters, and supporting documentation Analysing existing pension and investment portfolios using internal analytical tools Carrying out detailed product research in partnership with advisers Building fund portfolios aligned to client risk profiles and internal asset models Preparing, checking and completing all necessary paperwork Providing technical support to the Client Relations (administration) team Offering occasional support to the Compliance Director Taking ownership of project work delegated by the Paraplanning Manager or Directors Keeping your technical knowledge up-to-date through ongoing learning Experience Strong background in paraplanning with a good understanding of personal financial planning Experience working within financial services, ideally in a similar paraplanning role Familiarity with industry software (advantageous but not essential) Understanding of office processes and internal procedures Qualifications Level 4 Diploma is desirable Part-qualified candidates also welcome – full development and study support is available Confident with Word, Excel and general IT systems Personal Qualities Clear, confident communicator (written and verbal) High attention to detail, quality, accuracy Able to question and challenge where information is unclear Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise work and meet deadlines Proactive, self-motivated and keen to develop Warm, friendly, team-focused and professional at all times Working Environment 34.5-hour week Occasional overtime during busy periods Open-plan office with a collaborative team environment Regular use of internal systems, portals and analytical tools Why Apply?
