Sanctuaryprovide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. Caretaker - Voids Clearance and Cleaning Manchester - covering Manchester and Northwest £25,400 - £26,737 per year 40 hours per week We have an opportunity for a Caretaker - Voids Clearance and Cleaning to join our Voids team within Property Services in Manchester. This role involves removing customers' belongings from void properties and carrying out a final clean once work has been completed by the voids team. This is a varied role and includes also tasks that involve lifting and moving heavy items, removing fly tipping, needle sweep, pest treatment, cleans, cutting shrubs, weed control treatment and assisting trade operatives on sites as and when required. A company van will be provided for business use only along with training. The role of Caretaker - Voids Clearance and Cleaning will include: Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning, removing bulk waste and ground maintenance to void properties, this may also include communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows Carry out property clearances, removal of fly-tipping, needle sweeps, pest treatments, and final cleans Perform grounds maintenance tasks including litter picking, shrub cutting, weed control treatments, and general upkeep Communicate effectively with management and update paper and electronic records daily Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition Work to strict deadlines and keep managers updated on progress Use a P.D.A. to record and manage tasks Skills and experiences: Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation Excellent communication and customer service skills This role will involve driving on company business.
