Location: Blackpool 15hrs per week 1 sleep £13.50ph CJP is currently recruiting a reliable, compassionate, and patient Support Worker to join a small team supporting L – a sociable, good-humoured man in his early 30s with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and mild autistic traits. He lives independently in his own home in South Shore, Blackpool. L thrives on structure and routine and builds strong, positive relationships with those around him. He enjoys walking, live music, volunteering in charity shops, going to Slimming World, and chatting with just about everyone – especially if there’s a good joke involved. Role Responsibilities You’ll support L at home and in the community to help him live safely, stay healthy, and enjoy a full, active life. This includes: Supporting L to manage his money safely Helping plan meals and prepare food in line with his Slimming World goals Promoting good hygiene, personal presentation, and household cleanliness Supervising medication and providing epilepsy-safe support (full training provided) Encouraging communication, helping L manage anxiety or overthinking Attending social and community activities with him Encouraging independence while offering reassurance and structure Supporting healthy relationships and setting appropriate boundaries About L L is warm, polite, and enjoys being involved in daily life. With the right support, he is very capable – but sometimes needs help with memory, personal safety, and impulse control. His epilepsy is typically well-managed but can be affected by stress or changes to routine. A calm, confident presence makes a big difference to his wellbeing. Who We’re Looking For No previous care experience is required – what matters most is your personality and values. You’ll receive a full induction and handover.
