Join a leading telecommunications company as a Technical Business Analyst – Data & Reporting!
As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the business measures performance by turning business questions into clear, trusted KPIs and data requirements. Acting as the link between business stakeholders and data delivery teams, you’ll ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and built on solid data foundations. This is a hands‑on role within a small agile squad, contributing to high‑impact reporting used to drive decision‑making.
Contract Details
* Location: London/Manchester/Reading (hybrid – twice per week on-site)
* Rate: £425 per day (inside IR35)
* Contract Length: 6 months (with visibility to extend)
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand what they want to measure, why it matters, and how KPIs will be used.
* Define and document clear KPI requirements, including calculation rules, filters, thresholds, and exceptions.
* Identify where required data is stored and how different data sources link together.
* Analyse data relationships, dependencies, and known data quality limitations.
* Produce clear, structured documentation that enables data engineers and reporting teams to build datasets and dashboards efficiently.
* Act as a bridge between non‑technical stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring shared understanding.
* Support agile delivery by breaking down KPI requirements into clear, deliverable pieces of work.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst working with data, reporting, or analytics.
* Strong ability to translate business needs into clear data and reporting requirements.
* Experience working with KPIs, metrics, and performance reporting.
* Confidence engaging and challenging stakeholders to ensure clarity and consistency.
* Comfortable working alongside data engineers and reporting developers.
* Experience working in agile delivery teams.
