Mode Search are collaborating with a world-renowned luxury fashion house in their search for a Training & Culture Manager to support the launch of their flagship European Maison.
Opening in Bond Street this June, this new Maison will be one of the most watched retail launches in Europe, employing a 200-strong team and setting a new benchmark for client experience and cultural immersion.
The Store Trainer will take responsibility for all in-store learning, onboarding, and cultural integration. Reporting into the Retail Director, with a dotted line to the Head of Training, this is a career-defining opportunity to design, deliver, and embed world-class training within an iconic environment.
The Role:
* Lead all in-store training and development for c.200 Maison colleagues
* Deliver onboarding, product knowledge, service, and compliance training, ensuring a seamless new starter experience
* Facilitate workshops and development sessions both pre- and post-launch, collaborating with the Head Office training team to adapt content for the Maison
* Manage one direct report – the Culture Ambassador – responsible for cultural storytelling, including the curation of 400+ artworks in-store
* Collaborate with Retail Director, Department Managers, and HO Training to align on objectives, ensuring training supports business and client service goals
* Monitor progress, map training schedules, and gather feedback to continuously improve learning outcomes
* Ensure compliance across mandatory training programmes (H&S, security, cashier, etc.)
* Help craft and sustain the internal culture of the Maison, contributing to a positive employee experience in line with company values
* Support on cultural and social initiatives that enrich the employee lifecycle and strengthen Maison identity
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a Training / Learning & Development managerial role within retail (luxury or premium strongly preferred)
* Proven experience facilitating inductions and delivering training to large, diverse teams
* Strong people reader – able to influence, connect, and build trust across all levels of the business
* Experience managing compliance training and reporting
* Creative mindset with a genuine passion for arts, culture, and storytelling
* Organised and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and presentation skills
* Collaborative, approachable, and empathetic – with the ability to embody and promote the Maison’s values
* Experience managing and developing a direct report preferred
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + £3.8k London & Travel Allowance
Location: London, Bond Street flagship Maison (5 days a week)
Start date: March 2025 (ahead of June launch)
Reporting line: Retail Director (store-based), dotted line to Head of Training (HO)
