Storage King is seeking an energetic, sales-driven Assistant Store Manager to support the Manager at the Ebbsfleet store in all aspects of running the site and growing the business. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in retail or customer service, or a background in sales, with confidence and a willingness to learn. They should be comfortable working towards sales targets and possess good computer skills and team spirit.
Full training will be provided.
Profile
The successful candidate should have the following attributes:
* Experience managing customers
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
* Self-driven, passionate, and committed to exceeding expectations
* Experience in sales and customer service roles
* Ability to assist in achieving sales and revenue targets
* Availability to work every other Saturday with a day off in the week; store hours are 8:30am-6:00pm Monday to Friday, and 10:00am-4:00pm on Saturdays
* Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workloads
* Target-driven with a desire to succeed
Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Service
* Convert prospects into storage customers
* Promote the sale of add-on products, merchandise, insurance, shredding services
* Promote the store and company services
* Provide helpful advice to all customers (in person, by phone, email)
* Log and follow up on customer enquiries promptly
* Ensure customers are aware of security procedures
* Handle customer requests professionally with a focus on customer service
Store Presentation
* Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the store, including internal and external areas, office, and toilets
* Manage packaging materials to increase sales and enhance the retail area
* Ensure equipment is functional and report repairs needed
* Report maintenance issues promptly; undertake minor repairs if necessary
* Maintain a professional appearance at all times
General
* Accurately follow Storage King's policies and procedures
* Participate in company meetings and policy development
* Ensure health and safety standards are met
* Review personal performance regularly and seek improvement opportunities
* Respond professionally to administrative and business requests
