What You Will Be Doing:
Secondary Research: Conduct economic market research across 40 FMCG categories by identifying and utilising secondary sources available in the local market to determine market sizes. Map the brand landscape, presenting findings in structured data formats for further analysis in a global context.
Trade Interviews: Build and maintain relationships with industry experts and conduct trade interviews, capture emerging trends and key insights, and ensure the accuracy and relevance of research deliverables.
Produce written content: Develop category content by applying strong market knowledge and analytical skills to evaluate data outputs, generating insights and reliable market forecasts.
Communication & collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share industry expertise, support knowledge sharing, and enhance operational efficiency across the business.
What We Are Looking For:
Local Market Expertise:
1. Minimum of 3 years of residency in Germany with a strong understanding of its business culture and consumer behavior.
2. Native fluency in both written and spoken (German) is essential.
3. Familiarity with FMCG markets and local retail structures is a strong advantage
Data-Driven:
4. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with high attention to detail.
5. Comfortable working with large sets of quantitative data from various sources to extract meaningful insights and narratives.
6. Proficiency in Excel and written business English for data analysis and reporting.
Open & Global Mindset:
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in conducting daily trade interviews via phone or Microsoft Teams.
8. Experience in outbound calling (e.g., for sales, research, or customer service) is a plus.
9. Collaborative approach with a willingness to share knowledge and work across teams in a global environment.
Self-Directed & Proactive:
10. Ability to take the initiative to solve problems and eager to take ownership and accountability for the projects assigned.
11. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
