When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. Your role is to aid and assist clients in all phases of consignment preparation, handle and monitor client activities ensuring compliance with all agreed company policies, handle and monitor live network activities ensuring adherence to agreed rate structures and pricing policies and work collaboratively with all other departments to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
How you create impact
1. Processing of consignment orders from clients via email, telephone and via Quick’s online booking portal Quickonline, (which includes routing, classifying of service type, establishing a deadline and printing the job order.
2. Managing the green light approval process for consignments destined to non EU destinations.
3. To assist in providing clients with continuous status notifications and performing the necessary follow-up’s (which includes relaying details pertaining to flight and customs delays, proof of deliveries, additional charges, resolutions, etc).
4. Monitoring and actioning of client emails via the shared mailbox’s.
5. Calculating and arranging the positioning of suitable temperature controlled packaging & logger supplies.
6. Tracking and tracing consignments and providing the client with status updates throughout transit. Process client’s daily reports and manifests.
7. Monitoring and actioning of special alarms (SPA’s) via Quick Track.
8. Working in conjunction with the pricing team to provide clients with requested quotations in a timely manner.
9. Providing assistance to & working alongside Customer Relationship & Key Account Managers to ensure client satisfaction and prompt actioning of client bookings & enquiries.
What we would like you to bring
10. Experience in Customer Service
11. Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operations including Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport.
12. Knowledge of country specific rules and regulations relating to the Importation and Exportation of pharmaceutical products would be a plus.
13. Excellent understanding of World Geography and awareness of different time zones.
14. Understanding of transit milestones (COB/POD etc)
15. Comprehensive understanding of the various temperature controlled packaging solutions available on the open market to forwarders.
16. Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
17. Good computer skills, Word / Excel / PowerPoint essential
