A specialist contractor operating across the UK is looking to appoint a skilled Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of roofing and waterproofing projects within the rail sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical understanding of both traditional and modern roofing systems, and experience working on rail infrastructure-primarily off-track. With a growing order book of infrastructure and transport-based projects, this company offers long-term stability, technical variety, and the opportunity to lead delivery on high-profile works. Travel across the UK is required, with accommodation and expenses fully covered. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full project lifecycle for roofing and waterproofing works across multiple rail sites Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery Liaise with clients, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and specifications are met Conduct site visits and audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and rail safety requirements Programme works, allocate resources, and coordinate logistics for nationwide sites Support project reporting, client updates, and contract administration Requirements: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Site/Project Manager ready to step up) within roofing/waterproofing Solid knowledge of both heritage/traditional roofing systems and modern roofing techniques/materials Experience working on rail infrastructure projects, particularly in off-track environments Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Willingness to travel and manage UK-wide projects (travel and accommodation provided) A PTS card is desirable but not essential - support may be provided for the right candidate This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected specialist contractor delivering technical roofing and waterproofing packages across a key infrastructure sector.
