We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band paediatric nurse to join the Children’s Community Nursing team.
This role will deliver nursing care and interventions to the children (- years) and families within the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Foundation Trust area.
You will receive support and guidance from an established CCN team to enable you to gain and upskill in your nursing abilities and to develop towards becoming a Band .
You will hold a case load of patients and be responsible for ensuring that their nursing needs are met. This will also involve delivering educational / teaching sessions to a variety of people including families and educational settings.
The post holder needs to be highly organised, adaptable and able to work under pressure, with care plans that often needing to change at short notice. Support will be provided to the successful candidate including clinical supervision. Successful candidates must be a car driver as this is a community-based post involving frequent travel to patient homes, schools and other venues.
Main duties of the job
To participate in the assessment, planning and provision of skilled nursing care in negotiation with the child and family, in conjunction with the Children's Community Team.
To provide skilled, effective, evidenced based nursing care for children with complex care needs including technology dependent such as tracheostomy care and central venous access.
To provide skilled, effective, evidenced based nursing care for children with a variety of nursing needs, such as enteral feeding, and intra-venous antibiotic administration.
To work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless delivery of care to families
