New England Seafood International (NESI) is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 850 people across three sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from around the world. We are part of the Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation formed in 1971 and owned by 26,000 Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian shareholders, who are descendants of the first settlers to the Americas.

Job Title: Primary Processing Key Operator
Reporting to: Primary Processing Supervisor
Location: Grimsby, Genesis Way, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, United Kingdom
Responsibilities
* Efficient and effective performance of all Technical Key Operative tasks on shift, maintaining high levels of competency and conduct while controlling the process flow.
* Overseeing the technical and process compliance on a primary processing line, ensuring all products are produced safely and to the correct specification.
* Ensuring all factory compliance paperwork and process documentation are completed accurately and on time.
* Liaising with the Supervisor regarding any compliance or process issues.
* Implement and manage good housekeeping on shift, following clean as you go principles.
* Ensuring all activities in the area are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Procedures.
* Ensuring products meet the correct quality standard and specification.
* Reporting all Non-Conformances immediately to the Direct Supervisor.
* Ensuring machinery is calibrated and the process is operating to specification.
* With the right training and support, be able to take responsibility for your area in the absence of a Supervisor.

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience
* Responsible for all line documentation
* Responsible for all line product traceability
* Responsible for calibrations of processing machinery
* Manual checks on finished product weights as per customer specs
* Able to cover all operative line tasks and train team
