About the Role
At Turning Point, we support individuals with Learning Disabilities across England. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents, helping them improve their living skills while also gaining valuable experience and training for your own career growth.
Where Will You Be Working?
You will provide support to three adult ladies with learning and physical disabilities in Gawthorpe, Ossett, Wakefield. Your role will involve a person-centered approach, assisting with daily living, personal care, and community engagement. A full UK driving license is preferred.
Our residents enjoy a variety of activities, from watching films and cooking to social outings and community events. Your consistent support will help them maintain safety and independence while exploring new opportunities.
Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is key! You will work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and some weekends. Please note that shifts may vary.
Your Responsibilities
What Will You Be Doing?
This hands-on role offers variety every day. Your responsibilities will include:
* Promoting the independence of the individuals we support
* Assisting with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, and outings
* Organizing engaging activities both at home and in the community
* Helping residents develop life skills and personal interests
* Ensuring safety and health for all residents
* Providing personal care as needed
* Supporting with medication management
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring
