Technical Assistant

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a full time Technical Assistant for the Disability Resource Team - 37hrs.

This role is based in Beverley with the possibility of the option of an agile working approach, with time spent in the office and working from home.

Disability Resource Team is the specialist team within Adult Social Care & Health.

The Technical Assistant post makes a vital contribution to the Councils ability to discharge its statutory duties in respect of adult social care by ensuring that the data records are robust, and the team manager can have confidence in prioritisation of work allocation and completion.

You will need to show an aptitude for information related work, have an eye for detail, have excellent IT skills with particular reference to Excel and be comfortable working with large data sets and ideally have used a large corporate IT database such as a client record database.

You will need to become conversant with the main system we use (azeus) and develop an understanding of adult social care.

The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting the wider team, inputting, and analysing data.

The Technical Assistants job is to support the accurate recording of adult performance data, using the client record system, and working closely with team manager and operational staff to validate data and present information. The post holder will work within GDPR procedures, maintaining customer confidentiality.

The post holder will support and educate the team in the implementation and coordination of any performance changes, assist colleagues in the use of the azeus system, attend meetings in relation to performance and recording systems and disseminate the information and good practice to the team.

The Technical Assistant supports the team manager and senior staff with efficient and effective performance monitoring including data quality, planning, prioritisation and with the compilation of accurate and timely data.

You will be an excellent team worker who is able to organise your workload efficiently and effectively and work to deadlines.

You will work with all the staff in the Disability Resource Team to support them maintaining good data quality and accuracy within the azeus client record system.

The role will give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills and knowledge in a challenging environment.

Regular supervision and support will be provided as well as an induction into the role.

Interviews will include an IT test using Excel.
