We’re currently looking for compassionate and proactive Female Live-In Support Workers to join a dedicated care package in Worcestershire.
Meet the Client:
You’ll be supporting a warm and active gentleman living with a spinal cord injury. He enjoys staying involved in life as much as possible and values the companionship of his support team. A dedicated vegetarian, he loves sharing tasty veggie meals and needs some assistance with caring for his two much-loved dogs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful relationship while making a real difference in someone's daily life.
When you'll be working:
* Rolling rota 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off
* Living in the client’s home 24/7 when on shift
* Zero hour contact with regular shifts as above
What you will be doing:
* Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters as much as possible
* Liaise with and support the family as required
* Assist the client to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained (including washing, dressing and toileting)
* Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events
* Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
* Maintain accurate and confidential records
* Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client
* Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the care manager as appropriate
What you will have:
* A full clean driving licence to drive the clients vehicle
* Experience in care or a similar role
* Kindness, patience, and a proactive attitude
* A love for animals is a big plus!
* Commitment to delivering person-centred care

* Salary £122.50 per day depending on UK experience and qualifications
