3 months contract with local authority
The Permanence Team is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our efforts in collaborating with families and supporting children under the Local Authority's care with an adoption Care Plan to achieve permanence. This role is crucial in maintaining the child's best interests at the forefront, fostering meaningful relationships with children, young people, their families, and carers. The position requires proactive and effective planning for each child's future, ensuring positive outcomes in partnership with the Children in Care Service and external partners. This fast-paced and demanding role is ideal for those with experience in looked-after children care, whether in a LAC, court team, or safeguarding service.
Responsibilities
* Undertake court work proceedings.
* Utilize experience within a Children in Care setting.
* Apply a range of evidence-based interventions to effect change with children, young people, families, and carers.
* Anticipate and respond appropriately to conflict situations.
* Organize and manage duties and workloads, prioritizing tasks to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
* Work autonomously while seeking advice when necessary.
Requirements
* Recognized Social Work qualification (degree/diploma) and registration with Social Work England.
* Strong background in Children in Care services with a focus on self-development.
* Experience in Adoption and Child Permanence Report (CPR) writing.
* Enhanced DBS Clearance.
* Right to work in the UK.
