You’re day-to-day Follow instruction and supervisory orders from the Chef Manager Clean and wash cutlery, crockery and kitchen ware Ensure floors and walkways are kept clean at all times Assist with other members of the catering team in the serving of meals Project a polite manner to customers and other members of staff at all times Maintain health and safety hygiene standards as required by the company. Ensure hygiene is implemented with due regard to the statutory laws including the food safety act Understand and follow the fire drills in the e vent of an emergency Undergo appropriate training to meet the required standards of the job and changes in policy and procedure Undertake any duty within the scope of the job title as directed by management You are An experienced Chef used to working in a fast passed environment. Preferably experienced in working within the healthcare sector dealing with strict dietary requirements. Able to plan nourishing & attractive menus within available budgets An excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels Qualified in catering to City & Guilds 706: 1 & 2 level or NVQ Level 2/3 Experience in supporting and leading a catering team to provide food to the best standard. The holder of a food hygiene certificate, with good personal hygiene standards.
