Responsible for: Students medical and health care needs
Holiday entitlement: 9 weeks (pro rata inc Bank Holidays) - must be taken at specified times during school holidays.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9.00am -4.00pm - Times can be negotiable.
Hourly rate: £12.70 or above depending on experience
Place of work: Mawdesley, a beautiful rural village well located near to Leyland, Chorley and Ormskirk.
About the Role:
Rainbow Hub has an exciting opportunity for a health care assistant who is passionate about delivering high quality care and medical needs to children, particularly those with disabilities and special educational needs. In their new role, the successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Manager, SENCo and the Early years team to develop the provision and care for the children at Rainbow Hub.
Main responsibilities:
· To assistant the Early years team to support the children in their medical and health care needs and procedures on a 1-1 basis with Tube feeding, administrating medication and performing other medical procedures where applicable. Training will be available.
· To deliver a high standard of health care for children aged 0-5 years.
· To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others.
· To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager.
Main activities:
· To provide a safe, nurturing and caring environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
· To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
· To undertake roles as directed.
· To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
· To ensure medical and care records are properly maintained and adhered to at all times.
· To work in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan.
· To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives
