The Role
We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will:
* Work closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour linked to social and emotional difficulties
* Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to re-engage with learning
* Help implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies
* Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and external professionals
* Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-esteem in all interactions
* Assist with daily routines, learning activities, and, where required, personal care

Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH or additional needs (in education, youth work, care, or similar settings)
* Can remain calm and consistent under pressure
* Builds strong, positive relationships based on trust and respect
* Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Is a team player with excellent communication skills
* Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) - desirable but not essential
