Financial Adviser (Structured Pathway) | Established Client Bank | Supported Transition into Advice | Wolverhampton
About the Practice
We’re working with a highly regarded Partner Practice of St. James’s Place, based in Wolverhampton. The practice provides personalised, long-term holistic financial planning to a loyal and growing client base.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Adviser to take responsibility for servicing and developing existing client relationships.
The Opportunity
This is a servicing-focused advisory role, ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships and delivering ongoing advice - without the immediate pressure of self-generating a client bank from scratch.
You will:
* Take ownership of an existing client portfolio
* Conduct client reviews and provide suitability advice
* Build strong, ongoing relationships based on trust and continuity
* Identify planning needs and opportunities for further advice
* Contribute to the continued growth and retention of the client bank
You will graduate from the St. James’s Place Adviser Academy as part of this transition. For candidates with prior advice experience or exams, this will be a streamlined and supported process, designed to formalise your move into regulated advice—not slow it down.
Training & Development
The Adviser Academy provides a structured, well-supported route into advice, including:
* Funded study toward the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
* Ongoing mentoring from experienced advisers
* Practical exposure to real client scenarios
* A clear, supported transition into an advisory position within the practice
About You
This role suits someone who is already confident in a client-facing, relationship-driven environment and is now looking to step up into financial advice.
You may come from:
* Financial services (e.g. banking, wealth, mortgages, protection)
* A professional services or consultative sales background
* Any role where you’ve built and managed client relationships
You will likely be:
* Comfortable leading client conversations and building trust
* Commercially aware, able to spot opportunities naturally
* Organised and self-managing
* Motivated by long-term career progression
Qualifications:
* Progress toward Level 4 Diploma (R0 exams) is advantageous
* Not essential—support is provided to achieve this
What’s on Offer
* A competitive package aligned with experience
* Access to an established and active client bank
* A clear, structured progression into a Financial Adviser role
* Full support through professional qualifications
* Long-term career development within a growing SJP Partner Practice
* Backing of the leading UK's wealth management organisation
Why This Role Stands Out
This is an opportunity to build on existing client-facing experience and move into advice with structure, support, and a ready-made client base - rather than starting from zero or relying solely on self-generated business.
If you’re already working with clients and looking for a clear, supported route into financial advice, this offers a genuine next step.
