About the Role
Sales – reports to Head of Sales and Marketing. To proactively drive sales growth across key channels including e-commerce, housing development, electrical wholesalers (via sales agents), and distribution. This role is pivotal in driving proactive sales, ensuring a consistent pipeline of opportunities and increased market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Generation & Management. Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities using platforms such as Glenigan and NBS.
* Maintain and nurture a robust pipeline of leads across target sectors.
* Track and report on lead conversion metrics and sales performance.
* Channel Development – Drive sales growth in e-commerce, housing development, and distribution channels.
* Manage and support sales agents targeting electrical wholesalers, ensuring alignment with company goals.
* Identify and develop new channel opportunities.
* Tender & Framework Management – Prepare and submit tender documents in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
* Ensure the company is registered and compliant with relevant public sector buying frameworks (e.g. Sell2Wales, Contracts Finder).
* Monitor upcoming tenders and framework opportunities.
* Sales Strategy & Reporting – Work with the Sales Management Team to develop and execute a proactive sales strategy.
* Provide regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
* Contribute to the development of marketing and promotional campaigns to support sales efforts.
* Undertake competitor analysis and benchmarking to ensure product portfolio is positioned correctly.
Skills & Experience
* Proven track record in B2B & B2C sales, ideally within construction, e-commerce, or distribution sectors.
* Experience working with sales agents and managing indirect sales channels.
* Familiarity with tendering processes and public procurement platforms.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
* Self‑starter with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
