Description
The London Commercial Litigation Group forms part of the firm's Global Practice Group, based in the London HQ in the Walbrook Building. It deals with high-value, complex claims and disputes (frequently with an international flavour).
We are recruiting fixed term paralegals for a large disclosure exercise, initially for three months, with the possibility of an extension.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day responsibilities may include any or all of the following:
* Reviewing documents on an e-Disclosure platform.
* Attending some meetings and note taking.
* Assisting with the ordering and scheduling of files.
* General administration tasks to include photocopying, scanning and faxing.
* Handling confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols.
* Coordinating clear document management including preparing and maintaining records, assisting with the ordering and scheduling of files.
* Reviewing documents and preparing electronic and hard copy bundles of documents for counsel/experts/factual witnesses.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Must be available to start full time work ASAP
* A 2:1 degree in Law and/or practical or academic experience of litigation
* Previous experience as a paralegal or legal executive is desirable
* Experience of carrying out electronic disclosure exercises in particular working knowledge of document management databases
* Knowledge of MS Office in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
* Attention to detail and an extremely high quality of work product is essential
* An ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritising workload
* Enthusiastic and approachable with a committed and flexible attitude to work
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
