Due to an internal initiative, a brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Accountant to join a respected organisation in Southampton on a 2-year fixed-term contract (with a strong potential to become permanent and move into a permanent leadership role). Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll lead the development and implementation of a long-term commercial strategy, while engaging internal stakeholders and external partners to drive sustainable growth. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for: Developing and implementing a long-term commercial strategy Identifying and testing new revenue streams (e.g. holiday clubs, theatre hire) Leading the implementation of new systems including booking software Engaging internal stakeholders to drive a commercial culture Evaluating ROI and presenting to governors and leadership Building external partnerships and managing commercial contracts What you will need: Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills Business partnering or commercial strategy experience Experience working in a role such as Commerical Manager / Finance Business Partner / Finance Analyst / Management Accountant / Commercial Accountant What sort of person would be suitable?
