Job Title: Production Operative – Temporary Contract We have a great opportunity for Production Operators on a permanent, full-time basis. Epson Telford Limited was established in 1987, we are on a 50-acre site and operate a 24/7 manufacturing site. Epson is the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks and have recently expanded into blow moulding. Quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from the Cleanroom environment to the in-house machinery, design and technology improvements from which they use our own 6-axis robots. Salary: £24,829 20% shift allowance Three Rotational Shift Pattern: Week 1 –10:00 p.m. – 06:00 a.m. Week 2 – 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Week 3 – 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Following successful shortlisted application, you will be invited to Epson’s site to go through a recruitment process, to include: literacy and numeracy test, drug and alcohol test, health and safety briefing, and competency-based interview. The assessment will take around 3 hours to complete. The role: Work with others to achieve the daily Productivity targets, Departmental Production targets and KPI’s. Quality, Delivery, Productivity and costs, kaizen and safety. Ensure product quality via constant visual inspection at all stages of the process. Contribute to compliance with ISO and other statutory requirements, by ensuring that the relevant processes are followed and records maintained. Ensuring in-process sample inspection/measurement and recording of data onto statistical process control (SPC) data sheets/graphs. 10% offline checks daily and where required 100% Inspection checks. Ensure product quality via visual inspection Maintaining 5S standards. Promoting a Health & Safety, quality focused and driven culture and to monitor your work area to ensure the workplace is safe and a ‘the 5s policy is maintained at all the times Responsible for the preparation of incoming component parts for production and transfer of finished goods to the next process. Responsible for loading manual/automatic production equipment with component parts. Escalation of offline issues and working towards the achievement of KPI’s. Responsible for the operation of manual/automatic manufacturing/text equipment. Understand and work towards business and departmental performance, ensuring for maximum productivity. Accountable for accurate DAS and defect recording. Accountable for stock of component parts and finished goods and the control of said parts within the process.
