Senior/Associate Building Surveyor – Manchester | Full-Time | Commercial & Insurance Projects
Are you an experienced Building Surveyor ready to take on a varied and rewarding role in a growing consultancy? A respected multidisciplinary firm is looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their dynamic Manchester-based team, supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial and insurance-related projects across the region.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Conduct building inspections and provide technical advice on design, maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and construction
* Undertake acquisition surveys, defect investigations, condition reports, and measured surveys
* Prepare professional reports, schedules of work, and technical specifications
* Manage large-scale projects independently, delivering high-quality consultancy services
* Administer building contracts in line with current industry standards
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including CDM 2015, Party Wall, Building Regulations, and planning laws
* Support and mentor APC candidates, contributing to team knowledge and development
* Maintain a professional approach to client service, communication, and project delivery
What We're Looking For:
* Strong consultancy experience with broad technical knowledge across commercial property types
* Proficiency in defect diagnosis, report writing, and contract administration
* Familiarity with insurance-related repair work (preferred)
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work within budget
* Knowledge of statutory requirements and construction-related legislation
* Methodical thinker with strong analytical and IT skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally as needed
